Hosting, Maintenance and Support

Ensure your website is always in tip top shape with our hosting, maintenance and support service for just £35 per month

What is website hosting?

All website need to be somewhere so people can access them. Hosting acts as the home where you website lives, and when people want to visit your website they type in your web address (e.g. yourdomain.com).

So with hosting you are effectively paying rent for the home where your website will live. Our website hosting, maintenance and support package includes basic shared hosting. Should the size or traffic to your website increase to a level where more premium hosting is required there will be an additional charge.

Why are hosting prices different?

Hosting prices differ because, like houses, they are all different. If you have a big website then you will need hosting that can accommodate your website, much like if you have a big family you need more than a one bedroom flat. For the vast majority of small businesses basic hosting will be sufficient which will usually set you back between eight to ten pounds per month. We use and personally recommend SiteGround but there are many other hosting providers you can use such as GoDaddy, WPEngine, 123-reg and others.

What is website maintenance?

Website maintenance can mean a lot of different things so it is always worth checking with your web design agency exactly what is included within their website maintenance service.

Our website maintenance service includes the following:

  1. Checking and updating WordPress to the latest version
  2. Checking and updating any plugins to the latest version
  3. Updating any premium plugins used to the latest version. We have various licenses for premium plugins which we pass onto our clients. These licenses are renewed yearly and without a license you will not be able to update the plugin to the latest version. If you did want to update it you would need to buy a license yourself. This is all included within our website hosting, maintenance and support package.
  4. A quarterly visual check of the website to make sure it is working correctly
  5. Resolve and security issues that may come up
  6. Yearly checking the speed and performance of your website to ensure it is running at optimum performance.

What is not included in website maintenance?

We do not include any onsite updates or content creation within our website maintenance service. This is something that would be done under our monthly SEO plans where we create, edit and manage your websites content for optimum SEO performance.

What is website support?

Website support gives you the ability to contact us if you have any questions or concerns about your website. It could be that you are trying to update an image or add a blog post and you have having trouble doing it. In this case we are on hand to advise you how to solve your problem. Where necessary we will also actively login to your website to resolve your issues.

Our website support service is your helping hand with any questions or concerns you have so you don’t have to waste your time and become frustrated.

Any problems or issues that may occur with the web design or plugins that we use when building your website will be resolved for you at no additional cost. If an error occurs as a result of an additional plugin or software that you have installed we can help solve the problem at an additional cost.

Yearly Maintenance

We also offer a yearly maintenance service where we do the following on a yearly basis

  1. Check and update WordPress to the latest version
  2. Check and update any plugins to the latest version
  3. Update any premium plugins (that we have provided in the initial website build) used to the latest version. We have various licenses for premium plugins which we pass onto our clients. This is all included within our website hosting, maintenance and support package.
