Terms and conditions
Last updated: 28 October 2026
These terms apply to Preeny’s business website service together with your agreed proposal. Please read the content approval, cancellation, ownership and liability sections carefully before agreeing to the service.
About Preeny and these terms
Preeny is operated by Gregory Preen, based in Spain. Contact us at [email protected]. These terms describe our managed website service and must be read with the service scope and price agreed with you in writing. A sneak peek request is an enquiry, not an order for a paid subscription. We will provide the applicable terms and service details for your agreement before paid work begins.
Business customers and proposals
The managed website service is offered to customers acting for their trade, profession or business. If you act for a company or another organisation, you confirm that you have authority to agree on its behalf. These are business service terms, not consumer subscription terms.
Your formal proposal will confirm the scope, monthly price, billing start date, payment dates and any additional charges before you agree to proceed. Specific changes expressly agreed in that proposal take priority over these general terms. Merely browsing this website or requesting a free sneak peek does not create a paid subscription or amount to acceptance of a paid service contract. We will ask you to accept the proposal and applicable terms before the paid service starts.
The service and free sneak peek
The standard fully managed website service starts from £25 per month for up to 10 pages and includes the design, hosting, SSL, technical care and updates described in your proposal. The agreed price can be higher where the scope or requirements exceed the standard service. More than 10 pages, a content management system for you to edit the website yourself, integrations, e-commerce and additional functionality require a suitable proposal and price.
A sneak peek is a free design preview for evaluation. It is not a completed, tested or live website, and does not commit either party to a paid project. There is no automatic free first month of the paid service unless your proposal expressly includes one. Delivery dates, specialist features, domain arrangements and anything beyond the standard scope must be agreed in writing.
Prices, tax and payment
Prices are quoted in pounds sterling and exclude VAT and other applicable taxes unless expressly stated otherwise. Your proposal and invoice will identify the actual amount payable and the applicable tax treatment. Cross-border business services may be subject to reverse-charge accounting where the rules apply; this is not a general promise that the service is tax-exempt. You must provide accurate business-location and tax-registration details and account for any tax that is your responsibility under those rules.
The subscription is paid monthly in advance on the dates agreed in your proposal. There is no minimum subscription term. Additional work, third-party costs or charges outside your agreed scope require your agreement before they are incurred. If a payment fails or becomes overdue, we may suspend the service after notifying you and allowing a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. Payment of a genuinely disputed charge should be discussed promptly; undisputed charges remain due.
Updates and the included allowance
Unless your proposal states a different allowance, routine website updates include up to 12 hours of work in any rolling 12-month period. This allows busier months to be balanced against quieter months; it is not a strict one-hour limit in each calendar month. The initial website build is separate from this update allowance.
The allowance covers the time needed to carry out requested changes, such as updating prices, text, images and services, and adding pages within the agreed page limit. It does not automatically include a redesign, a CMS, new systems, integrations or other work outside the agreed scope. We may record time spent and explain the relevant usage when discussing the allowance with you.
If a request would exceed the included allowance, or the volume or complexity of requests goes beyond your agreed service, we will explain the position and agree a separate charge or revised proposal before doing additional chargeable work. There are no automatic excess-hours charges without your agreement. Unused time has no cash value and does not accumulate beyond the rolling 12-month allowance.
You can send requests through the agreed contact channels, including WhatsApp. Being able to send a message at any time does not mean that support is staffed continuously or that a particular response or completion time is guaranteed. Any specific service level or deadline must be agreed in writing.
Price changes
We may change the subscription price by giving you at least 30 days’ written notice by email or another agreed written channel. The notice will state the revised price and effective payment date. An increase will not apply retrospectively or to a period already paid for. You can cancel before the first increased payment becomes due if you do not want to continue. Changes to scope that you request can instead be agreed through a revised proposal.
Cancellation and the end of service
You can cancel by sending a clear request to [email protected] or through our agreed written contact channel before the next payment date. No further monthly payment is due for a renewal cancelled before that payment falls due. Keep a copy of your request; if you do not receive an acknowledgement, follow up so we can resolve any delivery problem.
Unless we agree an earlier end date, the service continues until the end of the period already paid for, then the website, hosting and ongoing management stop and the website goes offline. Cancelling does not normally refund the unused part of an already paid month, without affecting any refund or remedy required by law or due for our breach. Outstanding charges for previously agreed work remain payable.
We may end the service on at least 30 days’ written notice, or suspend or end it sooner where reasonably necessary for a serious breach, unresolved non-payment, unlawful use or an urgent security or legal issue. Where appropriate, we will explain the issue and give a reasonable opportunity to put it right. If we end a paid period early for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the unused prepaid subscription for that period, subject to any different remedy required by law.
Ownership and a managed service
The subscription is for the ongoing managed service; it is not a purchase of the website design or source code. Preeny retains its rights in the website design, code, templates, systems and working files, subject to any third-party licences. Your permission to use the managed website lasts while the relevant service is active and paid for. Cancellation does not include transferring the website, its source code or its design to you or another host.
You retain your rights in your own domain, logo, photographs and original content supplied by you. Third-party fonts, software, images and other licensed materials remain subject to their respective licences. Tell us before the service ends if you need copies of your own supplied materials or help with a domain transfer. Any additional retrieval or transfer work and its cost must be agreed separately. We do not acquire ownership of your domain merely by managing it.
Unless separately agreed in writing, a buyout, source-code handover, migration to another provider or continuing use of the Preeny design after cancellation is not included.
Your business content and approval
Your website represents your business. You are responsible for verifying and approving all business information published on it, including wording we draft or develop with AI assistance. You must check names, addresses, contact details, opening hours, prices, tax information, services, qualifications, claims, testimonials, images and any regulated or legally required information. We are not your legal, tax or regulatory adviser, and do not independently verify the facts about your business.
Before launch, you must review the website and give approval by email, WhatsApp or another agreed written channel. Draft content that we produce for a later update also requires your approval before publication. A clear instruction to publish specific information, such as a new price or opening time, authorises that requested update. Silence alone does not constitute approval.
You must provide accurate, current instructions and promptly tell us about errors or changes. You remain responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality and suitability of business information you supply or approve. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses resulting from inaccurate or misleading business information you supply or approve. This does not remove responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, or excuse us from carrying out an approved instruction with reasonable care.
Content rights and lawful use
You must have the necessary rights and permissions for text, photographs, logos, testimonials, personal information and other materials you supply. You authorise us to use those materials to provide the service. You must not request unlawful, misleading, defamatory or infringing content. We may decline or remove content where reasonably necessary to address an apparent legal, security or third-party rights issue and will explain the reason where appropriate. Approval does not make unlawful content lawful.
Availability, functionality and security
We will provide the agreed service with reasonable care and skill. Websites depend on hosting, networks, browsers, email services and other systems. Downtime, software faults, delayed or failed form submissions, email filtering, malicious activity and security incidents can occur. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, delivery of every message, compatibility with every device, or immunity from hacking, malware, data loss or other attacks.
Hosting, SSL and maintenance are included where stated in your service scope, but they do not amount to a guarantee that incidents will never occur. Backups and recovery arrangements do not guarantee that every item can be recovered or that recovery will be immediate. Tell us promptly if you notice a failure or suspect an incident so we can investigate within the agreed service.
You are responsible for checking the contact and destination details you supply and for keeping any credentials or accounts under your control secure. Do not rely on the website or a contact form as the sole channel for urgent or business-critical communications. We do not guarantee search rankings, traffic, enquiries, sales, revenue or other business results.
Third-party services and events outside our control
We may use hosting, domain, messaging, email, software and AI-assisted development providers to deliver the agreed service. Their availability and functionality can change. We are not responsible for failures caused by third parties or events outside our reasonable control to the extent permitted by law. This does not remove our responsibility to take reasonable care in the services we agree to provide. Any separately charged third-party services or additional functionality must be agreed before you incur the charge.
Business losses and limitations
Subject to the non-excludable liabilities below and to the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude liability arising from the website or service for loss of profits, revenue, sales, anticipated savings, business opportunities, goodwill or business reputation; business interruption; and indirect or consequential loss. These exclusions apply whether the issue involves downtime, a failed form, a security incident, content, performance or another service fault, and whether the claim is framed in contract, negligence or otherwise. They apply only so far as the law permits them to apply.
Liability exclusions
Subject always to the section “Liabilities that cannot be excluded”, and only to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Preeny excludes liability for loss or damage arising from the use of, inability to use, availability, functionality, security or performance of the website or service. This includes claims relating to downtime, hosting or network failures, software errors, failed or delayed forms or messages, hacking, malware, unauthorised access, and loss or corruption of data. The business-loss exclusions above apply whether a loss is claimed as direct, indirect or consequential, but only where that exclusion is lawful.
These provisions allocate business risks; they do not guarantee that every claim is excluded. They do not override the non-excludable liabilities below, a mandatory legal remedy, or an exclusion’s applicable legal requirements. No separate financial cap is specified in these general terms. A liability that cannot validly be excluded is determined under the applicable law and any enforceable provision of the agreed contract.
Liabilities that cannot be excluded
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or intentional misconduct, gross negligence where exclusion is prohibited, death or personal injury caused by negligence where liability cannot lawfully be limited, or any other liability or statutory remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or restrict. These terms do not remove a person’s non-waivable data protection rights. All liability and business-loss exclusions are subject to this section.
Privacy and customer information
Our privacy policy explains how we handle enquiries, customer contact information and project communications. If we will process personal information on your behalf through your website, the parties must agree the necessary data processing arrangements for that service. You remain responsible for the notices, lawful bases, consents and business practices required for your own website and the information you collect from its visitors.
Changes, disputes and applicable law
We may update these general terms for new proposals. A website update alone does not retrospectively change an existing contract. Material changes to an ongoing service require advance written notice and your agreement, or must operate through an existing valid contract provision such as the price-change process above. You may cancel under the agreed cancellation terms if you do not wish to continue on proposed revised terms.
Please raise service complaints with [email protected] so we can try to resolve them. These terms and the service contract are governed by Spanish law, subject to mandatory laws and rights that cannot be displaced by an agreement. Court jurisdiction will follow the applicable jurisdiction rules unless the parties enter into a separate valid written jurisdiction agreement. These terms do not require you to waive a mandatory right to bring a claim elsewhere.
If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it applies only to the extent lawfully possible; the remaining provisions continue where they can operate independently. These terms do not replace any additional information or data processing agreement required for the particular service.
